'James & The Giant Peach Jr.' takes stage at Lew-Port

The Lewiston-Porter Middle School Drama Club presents "James & The Giant Peach Jr.," based on the book by Roald Dahl, May 19-21 in the High School Center for the Arts.
Based on one of Dahl's most poignantly quirky stories, the all-ages "James & The Giant Peach Jr." is a brand-new take on this "masterpeach" of a tale. The show features a tuneful score and a witty and charming storyline. The musical is about courage and self-discovery.
Tickets are $5 for students/seniors, and $8 for adults. They will be available at-the-door, 45 minutes prior to curtain. (No pre-sale.) Performance times are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday.
The cast includes Michael Giannini (James), Beth Teal (Ladybug), Gracie Auer (Grasshopper), Abigail Conde (Spider), Dominic Townsend (Earthworm), Jaden Lombardo (Centipede), Brynn Townsend (Spiker), Michael Riordan (Sponge) Tiana Ponticelli (Ladahlord).
Ensemble members include Ellie Marshall (Matron Nurse), Sarah Lester (Doreen Diggles), Logan Stuart (Billy Bobby-Cop), Christian Streb (Bobby Bobby-Cop), Isabella Conde (Violet Funkschmeller), Isabella Renzi (Ridgely Rapscallion), Rhiannon Furey (Ida Walters), Eloise Buth (Bitsy Botana), Patrick McGillion (Buzz), Michael Siejax (Jake), Sarina Singh (Joey), Madelyn Bax (Lucille Van Koogkstein), Sydney Striker (Bunny Mackenzie the Third) and Kennedy Miller (Willy Wonka).
The chorus includes: Avery Ward, Azure Harris, Amara Preston and Willow Cutlip.
The creative team includes musical direction by Amy Teal, stage direction/choreography by Corey Bieber and production tech/set design by Christopher Teal. The show is produced by Jacey Diez.
