Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo announced the New York Power Authority board of trustees authorized a five-year funding plan for the "Reimagine the Canals," first announced in the 2020 State of the State proposal. The initiative will help expand tourism, boost economic development and reduce flooding along the Erie Canal corridor.

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center raised over $275,000 at its annual fundraiser, The Premier, held Saturday, Jan. 18, at the Seneca Niagara Casino and Resort. This year's event was co-chaired by doctors Rajinder Bajwa and Simmanjeet Mangat and Dr. Marnie LaVigne and Robert Fohl, and once again hosted a sold-out crowd of 960 people.
