The Sanborn Historical Society will reopen the Sanborn Farm Museum for small tours of 10 or less people. It will open from 2-4 p.m. May 16 (third Sunday of May), June 20 and July 18. Masks and social distancing are required.
Niagara County Veterans Service Agency to resume appointments in Niagara Falls

Niagara County Clerk Joseph A. Jastrzemski announced the Veterans Service Agency would begin in-person office hours at the Trott Access Center in Niagara Falls beginning next week. The office has been closed during the pandemic and all appointments since then have been conducted in the Lockport office.

'Critical' $500,000 waterline replacement completed in Niagara County

Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced the completion of a $500,000 project replacing a badly deteriorated waterline suspended over Twelve-mile creek in the Town of Wilson. Funded through the governor's Resiliency and Economic Development Initiative, the replacement will help reduce municipal maintenance costs and ensure the homes and businesses served by this town-owned infrastructure will have a reliable supply of water long into the future.

Since our last edition, things have really progressed on a number of fronts: The state budget was finalized in Albany, and new guidance was (finally) released by the New York State Department of Health, aligning to the updated guidance from the CDC related to social distancing in schools. We have moved quickly to advance both the 2021-22 budget and plans to return students to campus under the new guidance.
