Bella Rose Vineyard & Winery is teaming with Modern Disposal to introduce a wine bottle and glass recycling program on Earth Day, April 22.
There will be a permanent drop location at Bella Rose Vineyard & Winery, 1243 Ridge Road, Lewiston. It will be open to the public during normal business hours to drop off glass recyclables, and also will be used by BRV&W for its used wine bottles. All glass items in this Dumpster will be used as plastic glass aggregate (PGA).
BRV&W said, “PGA is a safe and credible alternative to other natural aggregate materials such as gravel, stone or sand. By using PGA, a significant volume of waste can be kept out of landfills and used in a sustainable way (i.e., large municipal water projects).”
