New York Secretary of State Rossana Rosado on Tuesday announced her approval of the Town of Porter Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP), which provides a step-by-step process to advance the town's waterfront planning from vision to implementation. Porter's LWRP was prepared in partnership with the Department of State and supported by $34,250 in grant funding from the Environmental Protection fund (EPF).
Niagara County to conduct suicide prevention survey

The Niagara County Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services announced the distribution of a community survey regarding suicide prevention in Niagara County. It said, "The survey will examine the community's awareness of resources, how to help yourself or someone you know who is experiencing thoughts of suicide, and what type of supports you would like to see available in our community."

Legislator Mike Hill announced Niagara County has won a 2021 Diamond Award in the environmental category from the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC) for the Niagara County Landfill No. 1 improvement project. An Advent silent guided weekend retreat will take place at Stella Niagara's Center of Renewal in Lewiston. Everyone loves the lights of the holidays, and this year's "Buffalo/Niagara Holiday Light Show" at the Niagara County Fairgrounds is set to deliver fun for the entire family. Construction of dozens of towering displays with hundreds of colored lights is well underway. The show opens Nov. 19 with what organizers called "a safe, secure, drive-thru experience synchronized to holiday music through your car radio."

'Share the Bounty' on the Niagara Wine Trail

They will collection donation of items or donate the tasting fees to that charity. There is no ticket for this event, but people are encouraged to visit as many wineries as they wish.
