Legendary performer returns to Niagara County
This week’s “Tuesday in the Park” concert offered an energetic, ferocious opening act in Miss Velvet & the Blue Wolf. What followed was Fishbone’s musical cornucopia of funk sounds – metal, ska and rock, included.
The headlining act, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, was … well, it wasn’t for everyone. Those into the P-Funk – especially fans located in the bowl area below the stage – were thoroughly entertained by Clinton’s cheeky performance. Others seated and standing around the periphery, not so much.
Next up at Artpark is a double-bill featuring The O’Jays and Average White Band. “The Last Word Tour” is set to start at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. For more information, or for tickets, visit www.artpark.net or stop by the box office at 450 S. Fourth St., Lewiston.
