Chef inspired food hall expected to open in spring 2019
Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls, USA, and Mercado Development have announced plans to develop a “chef inspired” food hall at the Fashion Outlets. The food hall, named Mercado Place, is expected to open in the spring of 2019.
At 16,000 square feet, the food hall has capacity to feature up to 16 merchants.
The space will be located along Military Road, with floor to ceiling glass and patio-style seating around the building’s perimeter. There will also be an area in the space dedicated to live entertainment, cooking classes, wine tastings, and more.
Dan Vecchies, president of Mercado Development, said the company plans to include a mix of local and regional chefs.
“Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls, USA is proud to see this food hall vision, championed by Dan Vecchies, become a reality. It’s a really unique concept – and a destination in itself – that will attract shoppers, locals, tourists, and more. Plus, with the array of food and drink options, there’s truly something for everyone. We couldn’t be happier to see this moving forward at our property,” said John Doran, senior manager, Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls, USA.
