Registration now open for restaurants to participate in Western New York’s 3rd annual Healthy Options Restaurant Week, March 24-30
Independent Health Foundation Press Release
Restaurants from all corners of Western New York are invited to highlight the healthy, nutritious food on their menus by participating in the third annual Healthy Options Restaurant Week happening March 24-30, 2025.
The weeklong event encourages the community to visit new restaurants and discover tasty ways to stick to health and nutrition goals while enjoying a meal out. Each restaurant will be asked to serve a “healthy option” menu, including one appetizer, one entrée, and an optional dessert.
Participating restaurants will have the opportunity to reach more than 200 attendees at the free “Taste of Health” kickoff event with samples and demonstrations from 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 24, at the Northland Workforce Training Center. Restaurants will also receive a toolkit with marketing materials to help promote Healthy Options Restaurant Week on their own social media and digital platforms.
Vendors and diners alike will be helping their communities, as the Independent Health Foundation will donate groceries to a family in need for every healthy options meal purchased during Restaurant Week.
Participation is free for restaurants that can register by submitting their healthy option menu recipes at www.healthyoptionsbuffalo.com/restaurantweek by Jan. 6, 2025. Restaurants can also tap into the expertise of the Independent Health Foundation’s registered dietitian nutritionist to create healthy option items that fits their individual menu.
Healthy Options Restaurant Week presented by the Independent Health Foundation, Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, Buffalo Urban League Young Professionals and Appétit.
