Fallsview Casino Press Release

The calendar may have only just changed to January, but we are already looking ahead to warmer days. The OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino welcomes George Thorogood & The Destroyers “Bad All Over The World – 50 Years of Rock” on April 24; and then, on May 23, we welcome three incredible bands: 54•40, The Watchmen & The Pursuit of Happiness to rock the stage.

“All of these artists bring such a vast range of music and we are thrilled to welcome them to the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino,” said Cathy Price, vice president of marketing, Niagara Casinos. “From the performance interaction with their audience to their storytelling – the energy will be incredible.”

George Thorogood and The Destroyers have an ongoing legacy unlike any in rock history: By reinventing blues, country and R&B tracks by icons that include Bo Diddley, John Lee Hooker and Hank Williams – via now-classic hits like “Who Do You Love?,” “Boogie Chillun” and “Move it on Over” – the band have kept the music of these American masters alive for the MTV generation and beyond. And with his own smash originals such as “I Drink Alone,” “Gear Jammer” and the ultimate anthem “Bad to The Bone,” Thorogood and band have forged a one-of-a-kind career built on humor, fervor and six-string swagger delivered with equal parts fire and fun.

Over the course of 40-plus years of performing and recording, 54•40 has not only made their mark on the Canadian music industry, but the entire cultural landscape. Led by chief songwriter Neil Osborne, 54•40 has carved out a legacy of Gold and Platinum albums and an outstanding reputation for their live performances that carries through to this day. With decades of hit songs such as “I Go Blind,” “Ocean Pearl” and “One Gun,” 54•40 shows are extraordinary affairs that bridge gaps between generations through a shared love of music.

The Watchmen are a four-piece Platinum-selling and Juno-nominated rock ’n’ roll band from Winnipeg, Manitoba, with 30-plus years under their belt. They continue to sell out venues across Canada with energetic shows that are stacked with their hits such as “Boneyard Tree,” “All Uncovered,” “Lusitana,” “Stereo” and classic covers that captivates any audience.

The Pursuit of Happiness’s 1988 hit, “I’m an Adult Now,” propelled them into independent success that summer, with Juno nominations for Most Promising Group and Best Video. Their album “Love Junk,” produced by mega-producer Todd Rundgren, went Platinum in both Canada and the U.S. Today, they still sell-out venue after venue based on their reputation as being one of Canada's best performing groups.

George Thorogood & The Destroyers “Bad All Over the World – 50 Years of Rock” has an 8 p.m. show start on April 24 on the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino.

54•40, The Watchmen & The Pursuit of Happiness show begins at 7 p.m. May 23, 2024 in the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino.

Tickets for both performances go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, online at https://www.ticketmaster.ca
