Family Promise of WNY (FPWNY), a community organization providing emergency shelter and support to families experiencing homelessness, will host its seventh annual “Choctoberfest.” The “celebration of all things beer and chocolate” will take place from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at Flying Bison Brewing Co., located at 840 Seneca St., Buffalo.
Organizers said, “This event is indoor/outdoor to ensure everyone feels comfortable attending. Tickets include a local chocolate charcuterie board courtesy of Park Edge Sweet Shoppe, a craft beer, a meal from Coyote Cafe food truck, and live music from The Restless Soles.”
Guests also have a chance to participate in the “Willy Wonka” raffle and win one of over 50 bottles of liquor, wine and beer to be given away.
Tickets are $40 each or $75 for a couple during presale, or $45 at the door.
“We are so excited to gather with our friends once again for our seventh annual ‘Choctoberfest,’ ” said Luanne Firestone, FPWNY executive director. “Flying Bison and Park Edge Sweet Shoppe are wonderful partners that make this a memorable event, along with Coyote Café and The Restless Soles. We look forward to a great turnout on Sept. 22, as we continue making a difference in the lives of families experiencing homelessness.”
