Historic Palace Theatre hosts 'Palace Cash Raffle'

The Historic Palace Theatre will host its “Palace Cash Raffle” as a grand reopening event after being closed for renovation the past three months. The evening will feature behind-the-scenes tours of the new renovations, cuisine from 80 Main, a basket raffle, a Mills Jewelers diamond raffle, and the chance to win $2,500, $1,000 or $500.

The “Palace Cash Raffle” will take place from 6-9 p.m. Nov. 2. Tickets are $125 a couple and are available online at lockportpalacetheatre.org, at the Palace box office, and at Mills Jewelers.

In March 2018, the Palace Theatre embarked on a $2.1 million grand restoration campaign. This event will celebrate the completion of phase two, where all the interior theater detail painting and mural restoration was completed by Swiatek Studios. In addition to the interior restoration, the inner lobby and concession stand were fully renovated by Mulvey Construction. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the theater and hear from the teams that did the work during this phase.

The Historic Palace Theatre is located in the heart of downtown Lockport. Built in 1925 by Charles Dickenson, the proscenium arch-style space is well known as an architectural marvel of the city. The theatre is owned and operated by the nonprofit Historic Palace Inc.
