2019 business assistance seminar slated for Sept. 26

The area’s business community is invited to attend an informational evening on available grant opportunities and resources for business development.

The 2019 business assistance seminar is scheduled from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at Niagara Culinary Institute, 28 Old Falls St., Niagara Falls. Registration and a brief networking opportunity will begin at 5:30 p.m. The event is free to attend.

Throughout the evening, presentations on a variety of topics are planned, including: grant funding opportunities through New York’s Department of Labor; the on-the-job training program, which provides funding to offset costs in training new employees in Erie and Niagara counties; workforce development programs; lending opportunities; and newly available support services for businesses.

The event is sponsored by New York State Sen. Robert Ortt; WNY Regional Education Center for Economic Development; Resource Management of Western New York Inc.; Niagara University; Niagara Falls Office of Economic Development; and Niagara County Community College’s Small Business Development Center.
