Popular Lewiston event is annual Italian tradition
Casa Antica Restaurant and Lounge hosted its annual St. Joseph Day table on Sunday. The 2019 Lewiston Business of the Year was packed with patrons ranging in age from preteen to 100.
The Soldano and Bellanca families offered a large assortment of dishes, including baccalà, risotto with calamari, spaghetti with tomato, vegetable frittatas, and shells with broccoli rabe, as well as assorted veggies, pizza breads and Arborio rice balls. Guests also enjoyed a variety of desserts, including cannoli, fruit and pastry crème puffs.
St. Peter R.C. and St. Bernard Catholic churches Monsignor David LiPuma blessed the food and offered an introductory series of prayers prior to bon appétit and celebrando San Giuseppe.
