On Monday night at the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute, 28 Old Falls St., Niagara Falls, there was a live auction for winning gingerbread houses judged. There were five categories of gingerbread houses: amateur division, children's division, college division, high school division and professional division.
Cindy Havey took home first place in the amateur division, while Deborah Vertoske and the group of Kerrie Cerny and Jacklyn Smith finished second and third, respectively.
In the children's division, Grace Delisanti placed first, Jace and Cole Steiner finished second and Caralyn Reynolds received third place.
Yengping Chang of NCCC won first place for the college division, while Myungee Kong from ECC and Gina Zena won second and third, respectively.
In the high school division, Becca Walsh from Erie BOCES took home first place. Hannah Barone from Niagara-Orleans BOCES took second and Nicole Stang of Erie BOCES finished third.
In the professional division, Tiffany Terzian was awarded first place. April Nader received second place.
