Inaugural event planned for Old Falls Street on Labor Day weekend

More than 25 area restaurants are expected to showcase their culinary expertise during the inaugural Taste of Niagara Falls, on Old Falls Street, USA. The two-day family-friendly food festival is planned for Labor Day weekend, Sept. 5 and 6, from noon to 8 p.m.

It is still accepting vendor applications.

"Niagara Falls has some of the most famous restaurants and cuisine that Western New York has to offer, and visitors may experience all of them at this one event," said Corey McGowan, festival organizer. He noted long-time local favorites such as Fortuna's, Viola's, Buzzy's and Scipione's are already on board along with newer area restaurants such as La Galera, Carmine's, Rainforest Café and Soliday's.

"We are looking forward to presenting this first-time event on Old Falls Street during Labor Day weekend, when residents and visitors alike will be able to sample the best cuisine Niagara Falls, New York has to offer," said Jason Murgia, Old Falls Street's general manager.

For more information or to obtain a vendor application, contact McGowan at 716-341-1040 or [email protected], or contact Old Falls Street at 716-278-2100 or [email protected].
