The third annual Taste of Grand Island enjoyed another bright and warm day from Mother Nature, just like its second edition last year.

The 2014 Taste, organized by Corey McGowan and presented by The MOG, drew thousands to the center of town at its third location in three years on Whitehaven Road and in the Town Commons.

Kevin Slachciak of Say Cheese Pizza on Love Road said he saw a lot of activity at all the tents. More than 70 were spread out on the sides of Whitehaven Road and in the Town Commons. About 30 listed were food or drink related, but twice as many were local businesses and civic organizations, making the event a true business expo.

"It's really a positive thing, great for Grand Island," Slachciak said of the event.

Say Cheese ran the beer tent at the Taste.

"The beer's good," he said. "Beer adds a little fun to the event, of course."
