Kevin Townsend of North Tonawanda won the second annual Grand Island Fun Center Golf Tournament Aug. 24, taking home the $250 first prize.
Townsend shot a 38 to win the tourney by two strokes over Adam Savard of Niagara Falls, who won $150. Townsend's score was 16-under (par 54) for the 18-hole course, located at 2660 Grand Island Blvd.
Mike Hromowyk of Niagara Falls finished third with a 41, winning $100 in a tiebreaker playoff against Jake Sweeney, the low scoring Islander in the 25-player field. Hromowyk was the tourney's defending champion.
