Come and discover the delicious cuisine the Village of Lewiston has to offer in a new and fun way with Lewiston Culinary Tours presented by The Roaming Table.

Recently launched to visitors and locals alike, Lewiston Culinary Tours was created by Western New York natives Christopher Tepas and Alicia Scott-Tepas. Tours are offered from 1 to 4 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays now through October.

"We enjoyed an amazing food tour in Denver a couple of years ago, and after the experience we immediately decided back home would be a great place to showcase the hidden restaurant gems offered throughout the Village of Lewiston," Alicia said. "It has been a dream of Chris and mine to start our own small business, and there isn't a better place than in my hometown.

"Lewiston is home to approximately 30 restaurants within a half-mile radius, and our culinary tours provide you with a true taste of some of the best. In fact, Lewiston was featured on the Travel Channel as a top food destination after winning the popular vote in the 'Best for Food' category for the Best Small Towns in America contest sponsored by USA Today and Rand McNally."

Eateries presently featured on the Lewiston food tour include The Silo Restaurant; Carmelo's; Town Hall American Bistro; The Orange Cat Coffee Co.; D'Avolio Olive Oils, Vinegars and More; The Brickyard Pub and B.B.Q; and The Village Bake Shoppe. Each three-hour walking tour is led by a knowledgeable tour guide who helps guests navigate the different food tastings, and leads tourgoers throughout the village pointing out interesting historical, cultural and architectural facts along the way.

Included in the $49 ticket price are food tastings with beer/wine parings that will satisfy even the hardiest appetites. Young foodies, 12 and under, can experience the tour for $35. Tours take place rain or shine.

"We have your table waiting at seven different restaurants. Why try them one at a time? Our tours offer guests the opportunity to try several at a time," Chris said.

Tour space is limited. Private tours for special events (birthday parties, corporate events, bridal showers, etc.) can be arranged upon request. For more information or to purchase tickets for an upcoming Lewiston Culinary Tour, visit www.LewistonFoodTours.com.
