Auto Collision and Glass Team Redhawks defeated Anzalone Electric Team Hornets 3-2 at Dwyer Arena on March 2.
Cole Bartolotta had a hat trick to seal the deal for Team Redhawks in a very tight-checking, close hockey game.
Coach Donald Lauer said after the game, "I didn't even know Cole got the hat trick until I looked at the score sheet after the game. He has been my leading goal scorer all season, and thought he would be ready for the big game."
Lauer told his assistant coaches at the beginning of the season, "I think we have a special group of hockey players here," and now adds, "after this season, I know we do! You could call this team the Dream Team. I would take any one of my players as my own, and had no problems with any one of them on or off the ice, which is unusual. Every one of these kids came to the rink each week ready to learn, or play, which made it easy to coach this year."
Team Redhawks, stayed the No. 1 team throughout the season, against four other Squirt house teams to take the championship.
