N-W swim team collecting awards

The Niagara-Wheatfield boys swim team collected a Niagara Frontier League first place with its 200 medley relay team scoring a time of 1:45.25 at last weekend's NFL meet at Lockport High School.

Pictured in photo No. 1, from left, with their medals are Nate Ehrmann, Matt Mixon, Dan Peltier and Dominic Zendano. Ehrmann also collected a third place for 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke. Peltier was second in the 200 breaststroke and fourth in the 200 IM. Zendano was third in the 100 butterfly.

In the second photo are N-W's 400 free relay team, which took fourth place. In front is Jack Bunker; second row, Ehrmann, Tyler Fleming and Mixon. Bunker was fifth and Fleming was sixth for the 200 free and 500 free. The 200 free relay team of Josh Pittman, Peltier, Zendano and Mixon took a fourth place. Team members head out to the Section VI Class A finals at Maryvale High School on Feb. 7, then on to the sectionals at Clarence High School on Feb. 13 and 14.
