The first family of fiendish fun is taking up residence in Western New York for a few weeks this summer. Episodes of "The Addams Family" will air weeknights at 11 p.m. beginning Monday, Aug. 5, and continuing through Friday, Sept. 6.

WBBZ-TV owner Phil Arno said, "The place to put on your summer smile is WBBZ-TV. After a long day at work or play, viewers can watch our station and enjoy truly classic television. We have had great response to 'Rocky and Bullwinkle' at 10 p.m. 'The Addams Family' is a great complement to that."

Viewers can join Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Lurch and the rest of the ghoulish gang. "The Addams Family" was based on characters created by Charles Addams' New Yorker magazine cartoons. The series originally aired on ABC from September 1964 until April 1966.

WBBZ-TV cameras recently caught up with character actor Felix Silla, who played "Cousin Itt," when he made an appearance at the Marilla Car Show. Watch for his hometown greeting on the station.
