Mother Nature once again played the spoiler all over the northeast today, including at Ransomville Speedway. All night rains on Thursday gave way to gloomy but dry conditions through the early part of today, giving hope to all. Unfortunately, the rains returned at 3 p.m. forcing officials to pull the plug on tonight's program.

Focus immediately turned to the big week scheduled for the first of July. In an effort to make up some of the lost events, the speedway added a show for Tuesday, July 2. This will kick off a three-day week of racing in the small hamlet of Ransomville. Dig Safely NY will present a full card of Mighty Taco Modifieds, Investors Services Sportsman, Ki-Po Chevrolet Street Stocks, Gippster's Collision 4 Bangers, plus an open wheel pit crew competition.

Regular admission prices will apply.

The action will return the following night as Waste Management and FinditQuick.com present the fourth annual "Battle at the Border," featuring twin DIRTcar SDS events - $5,000 to win 75-lap 358 Modified DIRTcar Series, $1,000 to win 50-lap Sportsman Series, plus the FinditQuick.com Fireballs, and fireworks.

See invaders Stew Friesen, Danny Johnson, Brett Hearn, Billy Decker and Dale Planck, whom are all expected. They will take on the likes of points leader Erick Rudolph, defending champion Pete Bicknell, 2011 champion Chad Brachmann and more.

Gates will open early at 4:30 p.m., with racing slated for 7 p.m. Grandstand admission is $25 for adults, $20 for students and senior citizens, $10 for kids ages 8-12, and free for those ages 7 and under. A two-day pit pass will be available for Tuesday and Wednesday.

On Friday, we will race once again! Join us as RPM Property Management and Brad Angelo Lanes present a full card of Mighty Taco Modifieds, Investors Services Sportsman, Ki-Po Chevrolet Street Stocks, FinditQuick.com Fireballs, Gippster's Collision 4 Bangers, children's rides, and the Football Demolition Derby. Regular admission prices will apply.

Adults, senior citizens and students who bring their general admission ticket stub from Wednesday, July 3, will receive a $3 discount off their general admission for Friday.
