Sabres recall forward Luke Adam

Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier has announced that forward Luke Adam has been recalled from the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

Adam (age 22, 6'2", 206 lbs.) joins the Sabres having played for the club for parts of the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons. Through 71 NHL games played, Adam has tallied 24 points (13 goals, 11 assists) and 26 penalty minutes.

While playing for the Americans in 2012-13, Adam has recorded 32 points (14/18) in 64 games played. Through three regular seasons played in the AHL, Adam has appeared in 148 games, amassing 107 points (47/60) and 114 penalty minutes. In 2010-11, he was the recipient of the Dudley (Red) Garrett Memorial Award as the AHL's outstanding rookie and earned a spot on the 2010-11 AHL All-Rookie Team.

A native of St. John's, Newfoundland, Adam was drafted by the Sabres in the second round (44th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
