Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier announced Saturday that the Sabres have traded defenseman Jordan Leopold to the St. Louis Blues in exchange for St. Louis' second-round draft pick and a fifth-round draft pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. There is a condition that could turn the fifth-round pick into St. Louis's fourth-round pick in 2013.

Leopold recorded 67 points (25 goals, 42 assists) in 174 games with the Sabres after signing with the team as an unrestricted free agent on July 1, 2010.
