The Center for the Arts, University at Buffalo, will present Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy, "Masters of the Fiddle," on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 8 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre, located at the Center for the Arts, North Campus.

MacMaster and Leahy are two of the world's most celebrated fiddlers. They also happen to be married. Together, they meld their virtuosities into a whirlwind of fiddle-driven music, dance and song, combining the best of French, Celtic, American bluegrass and Cajun styles and making it their own. Joined by two highly acclaimed pianists, MacMaster and Leahy treat their audiences to a show that includes foot-tapping rave-ups, heart-wrenching ballads, and world-class step dancing.

Known for her flamboyant skill and trademark step dancing, MacMaster has won a multitude of awards for her Cape Breton-style of fiddling. She has collaborated and performed with the likes of Luciano Pavarotti, Paul Simon, Béla Fleck, Alison Krauss and Carlos Santana. MacMaster's other half is equally impressive. The son of a fiddle-playing father and a champion step-dancing mother, Leahy is widely acclaimed for his agility on the fiddle. The husband and wife duo have won a multitude of awards and often perform as many as 250 shows a year.

Tickets for Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy - "Masters of the Fiddle" are $34.50 general admission and $23.50 for students and children.
