Girl Scouts of America Press Release

Get ready, WNY! Something extraordinary happened over the weekend – and it involves Girl Scout cookies – lots of them. Over a million boxes of Girl Scout Cookies have arrived, just in time for their cookie season and booth sales.

During Girl Scout Cookie booth sales, you can often find troops setting up shop at various locations near you, from local storefronts to community events. These booth sales offer a convenient way for you to stock up on your favorite treats while supporting your neighborhood Girl Scouts. With smiling faces and enthusiastic sales pitches, Girl Scouts showcase their entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to their goals.

So, keep an eye out for those iconic vests filled with badges and patches and colorful cookie displays, because your next box of Thin Mints or Peanut Butter Patties might just be waiting for you right around the corner! Visit www.gswny.org/findcookies and enter your ZIP code into the “Girl Scout Cookie Finder” to find a booth near you, to purchase cookies from a local Girl Scout troop for delivery, or to donate cookies to local organizations.

This year's cookie season brings not only the delight of classic treats Thin Mints, Adventurefuls, Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Lemonades, Toast-Yays and Trefoils, but also an opportunity to contribute to the development of essential leadership skills. Over the next few months, Girl Scouts undergo a transformative journey, learning five skills crucial to leadership, success and life:

√ Goal setting: Girl Scouts learn how to set goals and create a plan to reach them.

√ Decision making: Girl Scouts learn to make decisions on their own and as a team.

√ Money management: Girl Scouts learn how to create a budget and handle money.

√ People skills: Girl Scouts find their voice and build confidence through customer interactions.

√ Business ethics: Girl Scouts learn to act ethically, both in business and in life.

All cookie varieties will be priced at $6 per package, with 100% of all proceeds staying local within Girl Scouts of Western New York. Each package continues to support our mission to empower girls. GSWNY will continue to provide a subsidy for online direct shipments to your home when you purchase four to 24 packages of cookies, with a flat shipping rate of $7.99. These cookies are available for purchase and can be shipped nationwide in the U.S.
