Lockport Energy House amps up menu with refreshing acai bowls

Lockport Energy House is shaking up its menu by introducing customizable acai bowls.

The shop, which opened April 6, has gotten its name specializing in its health-conscious shakes, coffees and energy drinks. The decision to add acai bowls to the menu came from Lockport Energy House’s owner, Drew Boudeman, after hearing the many calls from his customers to add this product to the menu.

Boudeman has had experience creating acai bowls at previous jobs, and his goal is to put Lockport Energy House’s own spin on the refreshing and popular treat.

“My big thing was picking a lot of clean ingredients,” Boudeman said. “I usually only shop organic for a lot of the ingredients we get.”

In alignment with the brand’s focus on customer choice and wellness, Lockport Energy House’s acai bowls will feature toppings such as fresh fruit and almond butter, as well as options like Nutella, allowing consumers to tailor the bowls to their liking.

“I think the power of choice is what makes it awesome,” Boudeman said. “Hopefully, the acai bowls will become a big hit in that regard.”

This new menu item is set to release on Oct. 1, with pricing estimated to be in the $9-$11 range. This date will also mark the debut of Lockport Energy House’s Halloween-themed “Spooky Bowl.”
