Savor Restaurant, located within the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute, will host guest chef Bobby Anderson on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 6 p.m. Teaming up with the college to celebrate Black History Month, Chef Bobby will prepare a four-course meal titled “A soul food extravaganza,” which promises to satiate your mind and your appetite.

The menu includes: risotto with smoked turkey, peas and truffle parmesan; burrata with blackberry fig jam, San Marzano tomatoes and honey truffle oil; pappardelle with braised oxtail, smoked ricotta and Ethiopian berbere spice; tiramisu with white Hennessy, caramelized peach and mascarpone. Chef Bobby is known for his role in season four of the FOX television series “Hell’s Kitchen,” where he finished in fifth place out of 17 contestants under the fiery tutelage of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. After the show, Ramsay hired Chef Bobby for two of his restaurants in Manchester and London, England.

Upon his return to the states, Chef Bobby founded the nonprofit F BITES, an organization that empowers people through hands-on culinary training. The business now boasts three locations across Western New York.

The idea of the dinner originated within the NCCC’s Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Committee. Committee Chair and Chief Diversity Officer John D. Strong said, “Chef Anderson’s commitment to connect our youth with their innate power echoes those same values within the NCCC academic community. We’re so honored that he has agreed to highlight our Black History Month offerings by presenting this one-of-a-kind feast for the community to share in! Partnerships like this within the community really underline the JEDI principles that NCCC is working to promote on and off campus year-round.”
