Tickets on sale for eighth annual Lewiston Tour of Homes

The Historical Association of Lewiston has announced tickets are on sale for its eighth annual Tour of Homes, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1 and 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at select addresses in Lewiston.

The theme for the 2012 Tour of Homes is "A Town and Country Christmas." It will feature six homes, each dressed in holiday finery by Western New York's most notable designers and retailers. Each home will also feature at least two tablescapes offering holiday decorating ideas.

Participating decorators include Vanderpool: design; RTM Design and Interiors; Sophia Smith; Canterbury Place; Melissa Morinello; Le Creuset; Soft Inspirations; Patricia's Back Barn; Summertime Blooms; Richard Nashwinter; Ob's Paper Barn; Accentric; The Country Doctor; and A-1 Land Care Inc.

Bruce Sutherland, president of the Historical Association of Lewiston, said his organization is grateful to those who are opening their homes for the tour, including Cliff and Sandy Swain, The Gardens at Oxbow, Susie Reinhardt and Judge Peter and Gretchen Broderick. The remaining two hosts wish to remain anonymous.

The Tour of Homes is self-guided. Trolley service for ticketholders will also be available from the Barton Hill Hotel & Spa, compliments of Great Lakes Real Estate.

Tour of Homes ticketholders are also invited to attend a dessert sampling and cocktail reception from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days at the Barton Hill Hotel & Spa. Desserts will be provided by DiCamillo Bakery and the Village Bake Shoppe, with poinsettia cocktails compliments of Supermarket Liquors & Wines and Wegmans - Niagara Falls.

Tickets are $25 and are available at www.LewistonHomeTour.com or by calling 716-754-4214.

Tickets are also available for purchase at the following: all Wegmans locations throughout Western New York; The Orange Cat Coffee Company, 703 Center St., Lewiston; The Village Bake Shoppe, 417 Center St., Lewiston; and DiCamillo Bakery, 535 Center St., Lewiston.

If any tickets remain on the day of the tour, they can be purchased at the above locations or at the Barton Hill Hotel & Spa.
