Arts Services Initiative, The Bonadio Group present 'Nonprofit Financial Statements 101' lunch & learn

Art Services Initiative of Western New York (ASI) and The Bonadio Group have partnered to present a free professional development opportunity for budding organizations and those interested in demystifying nonprofit financial statements with a lunch and learn on Thursday, July 11, at the downtown branch of the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library.

Presentations will be given by The Bonadio Group's Justin Reid, Lisa Palladino and Stephen Turner, and will be followed by an interactive Q&A. Admission is free and open to the public, and includes a complimentary lunch.

The event begins at noon in the Gallery Conference Room at 1 Lafayette Square. RSVP at Eventbrite.

About the Presenters

•Reid (CPA, CHFP) is a partner in The Bonadio Group's health care/tax-exempt division. He has serviced the tax-exempt industry for more than 20 years, providing both audit and consulting services. Reid’s experience in both the financial and operational aspects of tax-exempt organizations has helped clients achieve their defined missions. Reid is primarily responsible for the planning and completion of audit engagements for tax-exempt clients. He is also responsible for the audits of numerous employee benefit plans, including defined contribution plans, defined benefit plans, employee stock ownership plans and health and welfare plans. He has specialized in benefit plan auditing for over 15 years.

•Palladino (CPA) is a partner with more than 20 years of experience in the public accounting and taxation fields. Her experience encompasses a full range of accounting, tax and consulting services to a variety of small- to medium-sized businesses. Palladino has developed a proficiency in handling tax matters for flow-through entities such as corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies, and coordinates the tax planning and compliance services needed for both the entity and the related individual owners. Her experience in working with closely held businesses include companies within the manufacturing, service, distribution and construction industries.

•Turner (CPA) is a principal in The Bonadio Group's commercial division. He works closely with a wide array of clients, including auto dealerships, manufacturers, retailers, construction companies, and other privately held companies. Turner’s responsibilities include the overall coordination and oversight of financial statement audits and other attest services, including financial statement reviews, compilations, agreed-upon procedures, and projections. He also has experience in consulting and transaction-based projects. Additionally, Turner is responsible for the audits of numerous employee benefit plans for both SEC registered and privately held companies, including defined contribution plans, defined benefit plans, employee stock ownership plans, and health and welfare plans.
