Celeb(rate) good times for OUN
The Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara Foundation held its 15th annual "Celebrity Bartending" event on Aug. 23 at The Brickyard Pub & B.B.Q. in Lewiston.
OUN Special Events Supervisor Cindy Hyde said more than 300 people attended the fundraiser, which netted $22,000.
"The money goes to support our programs that ensure people with developmental disabilities have the opportunity toward independence and integration in the community," Hyde said.
Celebrity bartenders included former Buffalo Sabres tough guy Andrew Peters; Buffalo Sabres Hockey Network host Kevin Sylvester; WGRZ-Channel 2's Adam Benigni, Kristy Mazurek and Lydia Dominick; John Percy of the Niagara Tourism and Convention Corp.; Tracy Paonessa of VIP Pharmaceuticals; Jessica Strenkoski of M&T Bank; Annette Tomlin of First Niagara Bank; David Karwick of Key Investment Services; Craig Avery of Niagara Hub; Anne Daggett of Buffalo Cabinetry; agency participant Elliot Shirback; agency family members Earl Williams and Rene Williams; and the Sentinel's own Joshua Maloni.
