Who doesn't love "Supermarket Sweep"? The frantic, fast-paced, shop-til-you drop game show ruled the airwaves in the 1960s, and again in the early 1990s. It even has a reboot currently airing on ABC. Though Erie County has made statewide headlines over the past month for its high number of coronavirus cases, more attention is starting to shift to neighboring Niagara County - where 11.5% of people tested for COVID-19 on Tuesday were positive. The seven-day average at that point was 8.6%, which was second in New York (only trailing Allegany County's 9.1%).

Last Friday, officials from Niagara County and the Town of Wheatfield were on hand at the Wheatfield Senior Center to hand out over 100 Thanksgiving dinners to local seniors. The event was part of Niagara County Legislator Jesse Gooch's "Meals With Heart From Six Feet Apart" program that he created in March to offer affordable meals to seniors in the community amid the ongoing pandemic.

It was a long time in coming, but Step-In-Time Studio of Dance is finally holding its June dance recital this week. The event, delayed by the coronavirus outbreak, is taking place in a series of daily mini-performances, with about 145 students divided into separate, small shows. With masks, temperature checks and social distancing, the pandemic brought a new date and a new look to the event. And it brought tears of joy to the eyes of a number of parents.

The Niagara University ESports team consists of six different teams: Four teams consisting of FIFA, Super Smash Bros, Ultimate Rocket League and Overwatch all compete at the Electronic Gaming Federation (EGF) and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC); the other two teams also play competitively with League of Legends and Valorant.
