In November, Niagara University's Collegiate Entrepreneur Organization (C.E.O. Club) held its sixth annual Turkey Trot to help raise money for the Heart, Love and Soul soup kitchen and food pantry.

Joe Mihalich was announced as the new men's basketball coach at Hofstra University on Long Island. Mihalich had previously served 15 years as the men's basketball coach at Niagara University.
NU kicks off spring sports season with rugby

Niagara University's Rugby team, which made the playoffs in the fall of 2012, is getting ready to kick off another successful season. Last fall, the team went undefeated and made it to the first round of the playoffs where NU lost to Colgate. Strong leadership and hard work from the players brought the team to be ranked at 14th in the nation. Already the players are back out practicing, playing in tournaments, fundraising and serving the community.

The Niagara University men's basketball and hockey teams are creating increased interest on campus. Both programs are in first place in their respective conferences, and students are certainly taking notice of the success each team is having.
Homecoming for new Niagara University softball coach

To those who say you can't come home again, Niagara University's new softball coach, Ellie Chan, would disagree. The Western New York native and Canisius College grad (we won't hold that against her), has been working her way up the coaching ranks since the day she left college. All that time and hard work has paid off with her returning home for her first Division 1 coaching job.
Niagara men's hockey still on top

This past weekend, the Purple Eagles men's hockey team improved to 17-4-5. The team's 16th Atlantic Hockey Association win set a new program record for conference wins in a season. The previous record was set by the 1999-00 team with a record of 15-0-2.
Coach Milhalich's Eagles soar high

The Niagara University's men's basketball team, despite its recent loss to Loyola, leads the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) thanks to a recent seven-game winning streak.

"I would be lying if I said I expected that; I knew we could win every game, but I also knew we could lose every game and that's why I think we're doing well," Niagara University's head coach Joe Milhalich said of the seven wins in a row.
