Grand Island High School: Lending a hand

Twenty-nine students from Grand Island High School, members of Student Council and DECA, the high school business club, helped the Grand Island Neighbors Foundation sort 11 pallets of donated food as part of the Share Your Happiness drive.

Students in all grade levels at Kaegebein Elementary School staged two performances of "Yes, Virginia The Musical," an original production based on a true story of 8-year-old Virginia O'Hanlon, who wrote a letter to the New York Sun newspaper in 1897, inquiring about the existence of Santa Claus.

Caleb Armbruster has always been a "woods boy," said his grandmother, Cathy. As a baby, he suffered from colic, a condition that causes infants to cry excessively for hours at a time. "I took him to the woods, and he'd stop crying," she said.
