Niagara County Community College (NCCC) has announced the launch of a national search for its eighth president, who will succeed Dr. William Murabito upon his retirement on June 30, 2024. The college's board of trustees has appointed Kevin Clark, chair of the NCCC board of trustees, to lead the search.

Stella Niagara Education Park, a coeducational elementary school in Lewiston, donated over 200 books valued at $1,933 to Damar Hamlin's Chasing M's Foundation. The school raised the money to purchase the books through a coin drive for Scholastic's "All for Books" program during the annual book fair.

Gov. Kathy Hochul on Friday signed legislation, her team said, to "make it easier for New Yorkers to understand proposed constitutional amendments and other questions put to voters on ballots in New York state. Under this legislation, proposed amendments and other ballot measures must be explained in plain and clear language that allows voters to understand the practical impact of adopting or rejecting the measure they are being asked to vote on."
