Junior Achievement of Western New York is releasing a free resource for teens titled "Making Sense: Understanding the Financial Impact of COVID-19." The guide is designed to answer teens' questions about the economic implications of COVID-19, including "Why are some store shelves empty?" "Why are some people losing their jobs?" And "Are we going into a recession, or even a depression?"

This accolade is bestowed to deserving alumni who exemplify educational achievements, career success, community involvement, and support to NCCC. Joining other SUNY campuses across New York, Niagara County Community College has established a student emergency relief fund in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. This fund is designated to support the highest, short-term financial needs to students currently enrolled at NCCC who are now facing extenuating circumstances related to housing, food, and other vital resources.

In response to the school closures in light of COVID-19, Explore & More is focused on helping the local community play and learn. While the museum is temporarily closed, the educational team launched a blog, "Sanity Savers," to help caregivers who are now finding themselves educating their children from home. The blog covers art, culture, STEM, vocabulary, local history and sensory-friendly activities designed to be both fun, playful and educational.

Representatives from Price Rite Marketplace and the University at Buffalo football team donated 43 "sacks" of food to New Beginnings Food Pantry on Tuesday at Price Rite Marketplace of Amherst. The donation was a result of the football team's 43 sacks this season and included canned goods, fresh produce, rice, pasta and water.
