BPO's summer plans include Erie County Fair performance, three-concert series, benefit for new hospital

The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra has planned a multifaceted summer that sees the BPO performing at the Erie County Fair, Canalside and Old Fort Niagara; traveling to Princeton University; working with the Doctors of the World Orchestra to raise funds for the new John R. Oishei Children's Hospital; and bringing rare instruments to Western New York.

'Niagara River Rocks' concert series to feature Primus, Tom Cochrane, Kim Mitchell, The Fray and Dennis DeYoung

Mayor Robert G. Ortt has announced the lineup for the four-concert series "Cornerstone's Niagara River Rocks" at Gratwick Riverside Park. The featured bands scheduled for the 2014 concert series include Primus, Tom Cochrane with Kim Mitchell, The Fray and Dennis DeYoung.

Shows take place Sundays, June 22, July 20, July 27 and Aug. 24 at what is regarded as one of the most beautiful venues along the Niagara River.
