Zombies coming to Ghostlight Theatre this month

The play "Night of the Living Dead" by Lori Allen Ohm will be presented at the Ghostlight Theatre, 170 Schenck St., North Tonawanda, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24. "The Flintstones" premieres Monday, Sept. 30, 59 years to the day from its very first telecast. The 12 celebrity and pro-dancer couples competed a second week with the first elimination of the 2019 season, live, Monday on ABC. For the show's second broadcast, scores from the judges from week one were carried over and combined with judges' scores from week two, which also marked the first weekly live-viewing audience vote of the season. Grand Island resident Jim Toellner, the president and general manager of WGRZ-TV Channel 2 since 2003, was among six inductees into the 2019 Buffalo Broadcasting Hall of Fame on Thursday, Sept. 19, in the studios of WNED-TV. He began at WGRZ-TV as its general sales manager in 2001.
