FOX recently announced a renewal of the critically acclaimed comedy series "The Moodys" for a second season. The announcement was made by Michael Thorn, president of entertainment for FOX Entertainment. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation announced that, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it will replace its annual live induction ceremony with an exclusive HBO special honoring this year's Inductees. The program will be available on HBO and to stream on HBO Max on Saturday, Nov. 7 (8 p.m. ET/PT), and will replace the live 35th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony that was originally scheduled for May 2 of this year.

Country Music Hall of Famer, Grand Ole Opry member and southern rock legend Charlie Daniels passed away Monday morning at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tennessee. Doctors determined the cause of death was a hemorrhagic stroke. Daniels was 83.

HBO Sports has acquired North American television and streaming rights to the documentary feature film "The Weight Of Gold," a revealing and powerful documentary exploring the mental health challenges Olympic athletes often face in deeply personal detail. The film debuts Wednesday, July 29 (9 p.m. ET/PT) on HBO, at the same time as the 2020 Summer Games (with 11,000 world-class athletes in attendance) were slated to be competing in Tokyo. Those athletes, like much of the world's population, are currently at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
