The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team, in partnership with Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, will again take part in the NHL's "Hockey Fights Cancer." This year's program will take place during the team's home game against the San Jose Sharks at 7 p.m. tomorrow.
1-hour delay planned for Tuesday opening at Niagara Falls DMV

Niagara County Clerk Joseph A. Jastrzemski announced the Niagara Falls DMV, located at 1001 11th St., will delay opening by one hour on Tuesday, Nov. 27, to accommodate an equipment update by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.

Celebrate the season with the Niagara University Opportunity Program as it presents its annual Christmas benefit concert at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7,in the Russell Salvatore Dining Commons on campus. The event is free and open to the public, though a free-will offering is suggested. Proceeds will benefit Community Missions. Last year, more than $1,000 was raised to support Community Missions' programs and services.

Deposits for Food continues to assist pantries

Deposits for Food presented donations to two Niagara Falls food pantries last week: Community Missions, and Heart, Love & Soul. The proceeds were obtained from D4F's collections of returnable containers and scrap metal. To date, total donations have topped $55,000.
