Tylec lifts parking ban in NT

City of North Tonawanda Mayor Austin Tylec announced the parking ban on municipal streets will be lifted effective at 12:01 a.m. March 9. The ban was slated to run from Nov. 15, 2021, through April 1, 2022.
Niagara Falls Police investigating Pine Avenue shooting

At approximately 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1600 block of Pine Avenue for a report of a man shot. Upon arrival, patrol officers located the 29-year-old victim who had been shot in the upper arm.
Memorial now offering in-house dialysis to patients

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center is now offering in-house dialysis service to medical center patients. Inpatient dialysis treatment will now be administered by Memorial staff throughout the medical center's campus, eliminating the need for an outside renal contractor.

Niagara County Community College's 2022 Film & Animation Festival will take place in-person from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at the school's Sanborn campus, located at 3111 Saunders Settlement Road. The festival, which features a number of fun and informative activities, is open to the public. Admission is free.

NCCC updates campus mask mandate

Effective Monday, Feb. 28, Niagara County Community College is removing the mandatory masking requirement on campus for those fully compliant with the coronavirus vaccine mandate as defined by the Centers for Disease Control, New York state, the State University of New York and the Niagara County Department of Health. While masks will no longer be required, it is encouraged that individuals wear them when in close proximity to others.
