Following three years of relaxed enforcement on "sandwich board" signs, the Village of Lewiston intends to again limit these promotional markers. It has been working with the Planning Commission on drafting new law language.

Last Friday, members of the Lewiston Garden Club and the Lewiston Beautification Commission met at Hennepin Park to weed, clean and plant at the Center and South Fourth streets site. The work was done in anticipation of the annual Lewiston GardenFest, which will take place June 17-18.

Alexandre Vanderlip, a member of Boy Scout Troop 855, is working on a plan to acquire a mailbox-sized container that would hold up to 50 flags until they can be properly burned. He intends to install the waterproof, locked drop box outside of the Village of Lewiston's Red Brick Municipal Building, along the main driveway.

The SANY New York/Burris Racing go-karting program at the Ransomville Speedway hosted its annual test and tune and practice session on Thursday night. A full pit area and the fans had the chance to see karts on the track for the first time. Nearly 70 karts took to the track and took part.

Niagara County Clerk Joseph A. Jastrzemski on Tuesday reminded drivers who renewed their license between March 1, 2020, and Aug. 31, 2021, by self-certifying their vision but have failed to submit the results of a vision test to the Department of Motor Vehicles that they face suspension of their license. Drivers who fall into this category should have received a letter from the state DMV.

Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University has a new student-curated exhibition, "Shaping Nature," by Buffalo-based Japanese potter Junko McGee that explores the relationship between nature and artistry, on view through Oct. 29. "Shaping Nature" is McGee's first solo exhibition, curated by Niagara University's exhibiting cultures class, led by senior lecturer and CAM Curator of Folk Arts Edward Y. Millar.

On May 8, at approximately 7:05 p.m., the Niagara County Sheriff's Office dispatch center received multiple 911 calls reporting a possible residential structure fire at 23 Joshua Drive in the Town of Wilson. It was advised that heavy smoke was coming from a manufactured home in the Rainbow Mobile Home Park.

The awards were presented by the board of associates of Mount St. Mary's Hospital in a ceremony held at the Niagara Frontier Golf Club. The program was sponsored by the Mount St Mary's Hospital Foundation.

The male was reported to have stated that he was going to shoot someone. The male was originally reported to be in the area of Hyde Park Boulevard in the Town of Niagara.
