Artpark & Company announced the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation will provide a $250,000 grant to fund the development for Artpark's future planning. Money will go toward a master plan - a long-term phased transformation that will revitalize the park grounds, improve connectivity with surrounding parks/trails/communities, facilities and programs.

The Friends of the Lewiston Library will host the first of a 2019 speaker series at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at the Red Brick Municipal Building, 145 N. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Buffalo District announced the record of decision for the Interim Waste Containment Structure Operable Unit of the Niagara Falls Storage Site, located in Lewiston, has been signed by Rickey "R.D." James, assistant secretary for the Army for Civil Works. The selected remedy is alternative four from the proposed plan: excavation, partial treatment, and off-site disposal of the entire contents of the Interim Waste Containment Structure.

Picked to finish last in the conference in the preseason poll, the Purple Eagles earned the sixth seed in the playoffs and bowled confidently through Canisius, two-time defending champion Air Force, and RIT before the Yellow Jackets scored 1:16 into the extra period to end Niagara's season.
