If this doesn't prove Buffalo and WNY is the Region of Great Neighbors, nothing will.
With flood warnings posted, the Ride for Roswell still went on for the 20th year Saturday, despite having the two longest rides cancelled.
Deb and I decided to start my "Big 6-0" riding in the memory of my dad, her mom and for so many friends who are recovering from this horrible disease, such as Jim Kelly, Kathleen Graim, Dale Anderson, "Big" Jerry Leone, Maria Mercurio and my late, great godfather, Joe Gioele.
Rain came at 10:30 and it's pouring now. I have 10 miles to go and, as a member of the Tops Friendly Markets team, I can't wait to eat some of the great groceries under their tent.
We will also visit Howard Rich and all my pals at Rich's. They have Subway subs.
To top it off, 97 Rock is spinning the tunes. It don't get better than this.
This should prove to God that WNY wants cancer eliminated once and for all.
If you still want to donate to our team, visit rideforroswell.org, hit donate, put either Mike or Debbie Billoni in the search and put in your amount.
Thanks. Much appreciated.
