West New York Films, Arts, and Media, in collaboration with The SUNY Buffalo State University Chapter of the NAACP, has announced a collaborative effort aimed at “empowering the upcoming fifth annual Niagara Falls Juneteenth Festival celebration.”

A press release stated, “This initiative seeks to unite the community in a shared commitment to diversity, equity and cultural enrichment. This partnership represents a powerful fusion of the country music and Black communities, envisioning a future where cultural differences are embraced and celebrated.”

The collaboration will be highlighted at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park at the Luke Combs concert. On April 19 and 20, attendees will have the opportunity to support the Juneteenth Festival through their concessions purchases and contributions. By leveraging the concert platform, the NAACP and WNY FAM aim to raise awareness and funds for the festival, “amplifying its impact and promoting a message of unity and empowerment.”

"We are thrilled to join forces with the NAACP and Delaware North to support the Juneteenth Festival," said Jacob J. Fleming Jr., public relations at WNY FAM. "This collaborative effort underscores our shared values and commitment to creating a more inclusive and equitable community. Together, we can make a meaningful difference and celebrate the spirit of Juneteenth."

Through this initiative, the NAACP and WNY FAM aim to “engage the community in a celebration that honors history, promotes unity, and fosters a sense of belonging for all. The funds raised will support various initiatives at the Juneteenth Festival, contributing to its success and ensuring a vibrant and impactful event for all participants.”
