Gary M. McTigue passed away March 22, 2024, under the care of Buffalo Hospice.
Born Oct. 5, 1951, in Buffalo, he was the son of the late Paul and Alma (Jones) McTigue. Gary was an independent contractor operating heavy equipment, retiring in 2001. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Gary is survived by his wife, Candace (Bjarnov) McTigue; by his children: Erik (Diane) Ostertag, Krista Ostertag and Alicia Roberts; by his grandchildren: Dylan Ostertag-MacKenna, Juliette Itzo, Alera Ostertag, Erika Ostertag and Tristan Ostertag; by his cousin, Andrew Macfarlane; and by his brother, Timothy McTigue.
Besides his parents, Gary was predeceased by his brothers, Dennis and Ronald McTigue, and by his sister, Judy Cedro.
Relatives and friends are invited to a service at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, at St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church, 2100 Baseline Road, Grand Island.
