The Town of Wheatfield Lions Club will host a viewing event for the solar eclipse on Monday, April 8. This event will take place from 2-5 p.m. at Five Senses Park, 6535 Ward Road, Wheatfield, and will include refreshments, moon pies, sun chips, hot dogs, burgers and beverages.
The cost is $2 per car for park entrance. Glasses will be available to purchase for $3. Participants are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.
A press release noted, “Our motto is ‘We Serve.” Event proceeds support these service areas: vision, diabetes, hunger, environment, disaster relief, humanitarian efforts, and children's cancer.”
