Fallsview Food and Drink Fest just got more flavorful

The second annual Fallsview Food & Drink Fest is back, with this year even more flavorful than ever – having evolved from two to four indulgent days of food and fun!

From June 6-9, get ready to bring out your inner foodie and join Fallsview for one, two, three or four days of mouth-watering experiences.

"We've taken our culinary adventure to new heights and, this year, will continue to elevate your tastebuds," said Cathy Price, Niagara Casino’s vice president of marketing. "We’re showcasing some incredible celebrity chefs, so get ready for an extraordinary gourmet journey with some fresh and delightful additions."

The fun begins at the “Backyard BBQ” on June 6 where Fallsview has taken the “Q” to a whole new level. Don’t miss the official kick off for the event at our weekly backyard barbecue. With demonstrations by Canadian barbecue masters Maddie and Kiki, live entertainment, delicious food and drink sections, all with the scenic atmosphere of the falls! There’s no entry fee for this tasty new adventure – à la carte food and beverages will be available for purchase.

On June 7, the “Celebrity Chef Dine About” is back, and this year Fallsview has raised the culinary bar. Enjoy an intimate evening of fine food, amazing drinks and mingling with celebrity chefs Mary Berg, Aarón Sánchez, Rocco DiSpirito, Geoffrey Zakarian and Maddie & Kiki – all while sampling local food and drink pairings, with live music provided by DJ JustGeorge.

On June 8, Fallsview Food Con is back. Sip and savor at the afternoon food expo with local vendors, while celebrity chefs Berg, Sánchez, DiSpirito and Zakarian whip up delectable treats in live action demonstrations on the main stage with John Catucci, host of the Food Network Canada series “You Gotta Eat Here!”

And on June 9, Fallsview’s award-winning, 21 Club proudly presents its first “Brunch with Mary Berg.” Celebrate brunch with award-winning TV host and best-selling author, Mary Berg, in 21 Club. Enjoy your favorite meal with your favorite chef only at Fallsview Casino.

This year’s celebrity chefs include:

•Mary Berg, host of “The Good Stuff with Mary Berg” on CTV as well as bestselling author of “Well Seasoned: A Year's Worth of Delicious Recipes” and “Kitchen Party: Effortless Recipes for Every Occasion.” She is also the host of the five-times Canadian Screen Award winning “Mary Makes It Easy” (also airing on Food Network) and the four-times CSA Award-winning “Mary’s Kitchen Crush” (including three CSA wins herself), as well as the season 3 winner of “MasterChef Canada” and a cooking expert on CTV’s “Your Morning,” “The Social” and “The Marilyn Denis Show” in Canada. Mary’s new best-selling cookbook, “In Mary’s Kitchen: Stress-Free Recipes for Every Home Cook,” is available now.

•Aarón Sánchez is a Mexican-American celebrity chef, restauranteur, television personality, cookbook author and philanthropist. He is the executive chef and part-owner of the Mexican restaurant Johnny Sánchez in New Orleans. He also co-starred on Food Network’s hit series “Chopped” and “Chopped Jr.” and hosted Cooking Channel’s Emmy-nominated “Taco Trip.”

•Rocco DiSpirito is an award-winning chef and New York Times best-selling author, celebrity judge and competitor on Food Network’s “Tournament of Champions,” “Guys Grocery Games,” “Guys Ranch Kitchen” and his own “Restaurant Divided.”

•Geoffrey Zakarian is an American chef, restaurateur, television personality and author. He is featured on several television programs on the Food Network, including “Chopped” and “The Next Iron Chef” on which, in 2011, he won the right to join “Iron Chef America.”

•Maddie and Kiki are “Canada’s Favourite BBQ Masters,” named Top 10 “Grill Experts of North America” and featured in the prestigious Forbes magazine.

•Fallsview Food & Drink Fest “Celebrity Chef Dine About” from 7-10 p.m. Friday, June 7, in The Grand Hall. The price is $225 (Canadian) plus taxes and service charges. This is an ages 19-and-above event.

•Fallsview Food & Drink Fest Fallsview Food Con from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, June 8, in The Grand Hall. The price is $115 plus taxes and service charges.

•“Brunch with Mary Berg,” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, June 8, at 21 Club. The price is $100 plus taxes and service charges. This is a 19-plus event.
