Fallsview Press Release

Greta Van Fleet is set to perform at the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino on Aug. 4 as part of their “Starcatcher World Tour.” Their renowned live performances and powerful vocals are sure to mesmerize rock music enthusiasts in attendance.

"Greta Van Fleet is ready to bring the house down and will leave a lasting impression for guests in attendance," said Cathy Price, Niagara Casino's vice president of marketing.

An American rock band from Frankenmuth, Michigan, Greta Van Fleet formed in 2012 and consists of the Kiszka brothers: twins Josh (vocals) and Jake (guitar), Sam (bass guitar, keyboards), and Danny Wagner (drums). They were signed to Lava Records in March 2017 and a month later released their debut studio EP, “Black Smoke Rising.”

Their debut single, “Highway Tune,” topped the Billboard U.S. Mainstream Rock and Active Rock stations in September 2017 for four weeks in a row. The group released two EPs followed by their first full-length record, “Anthem of the Peaceful Army,” in 2018. The band followed that up with the sweeping, alluring, often ecstatic LP, “The Battle at Garden’s Gate,” in 2021. Hit songs from that album include “Heat Above” and “Light My Love.”

The band’s heavy rock sound is influenced by the work of Led Zeppelin and many other rock and blues acts, with lead vocalist Josh Kiszka having a voice that has been compared to Robert Plant’s “husky howl.”

Their debut album, “From the Fires,” took the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album at the 61st annual ceremony. Greta Van Fleet's live shows have garnered praise for their high energy and stage presence, solidifying their reputation as an exhilarating live act.

Joining them this August are the Crown Lands. They are born storytellers, with eyes on this world and others. Advocates for the LGBTQ+ and indigenous communities. The blood of Rush runs deep in their veins, swirled with flavors of Yes, Pink Floyd, and the wealth of artists that have shaped Crown Lands. Classic qualities are stirred into fresh themes and issues close to their hearts. It’s a virtuosic hybrid that reveals a treasure chest of progressive, rock, troubadour, and electronic strains.

“Make sure to secure your tickets soon as this show is bound to be a highlight of the season,” Price said.

It’s a 7:30 p.m. show time. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 8, at https://www.ticketmaster.ca. For more on the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino, visit www.fallsviewcasino/OLGStageatFallsviewCasino.
