Obituary: Carol Force

Carol Force, 87, of Lewiston, died peacefully at home after a short illness on Feb. 16, 2024.

She was born in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, on May 3, 1936, the eldest child of Fred and Ada Talbot. Carol was married to Paul Force (1936-2017) for almost 60 years.

Carol was incredibly bright, caring, generous and beloved. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

Carol is survived by her younger sister and brother: Helen Talbot of Lewiston, and Brian (Lee) Talbot of Ann Arbor, Michigan. She found great joy sharing in the lives of her six nieces and nephews: Heather Beebe (Luc Jarry), Alison Beebe, David (Susan) Beebe, Michael (Rebecca) Beebe, Alicia Talbot, Devin (Rachel) Talbot; and her great-nieces and great-nephews: Laura, Anna, Sydney, Demetri, Claire, Emily, William, Henry, Juliette and Eloise.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friends of the Lewiston Library, the Youngstown Free Library or the Western New York Land Conservancy.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, at the Rhoney Funeral Home, 901 Cayuga St., Lewiston.
